Mission

Women and girls represent more than half the worlds population but in every country in the world they are faced with discrimination and inequality which are key drivers for poverty. Women form the majority of those living in poverty.

Women have access to fewer resources and opportunities, are underrepresented at all levels of political leadership and in making critical decisions. They face violence, abuse and unequal treatment at home, at work and in their wider communities.

Women and girls preform a disproportionate share of unpaid domestic work, are deprived of access to healthcare and nutrition leading to a higher mortality rate and are disadvantaged in education translating to a lack of essential skills necessary for the labour market.

Our campaigns and projects are developed in response to specific needs that have been identified. Local intelligence, knowledge and expertise are vital to achieving our goals and we work in partnership with local experts and professionals, district assemblies, policy makers, statutory organisations and NGO’s to achieve our collective goals.

mission

Our mission is to support the achievement of gender equality and equal rights for women.

vision

Our vision is of an equitable and inclusive society where women and children thrive and flourish and live happy, healthy, fulfilled lives.

International commitments to advance gender equality have brought about some improvements in areas such as child marriage and FGM but the promise of a world in which every woman and girl enjoys full gender equality with all social, legal, economic barriers removed remains unfulfilled.

Join us in fighting these inequalities together and ending the cycle of poverty.
